The Northumberland Coast Historical Sights along the Northumberland Coastal Path The beautiful beach of the Northumberland Coast Seals relaxing on the coast of Northumberland Walkers taking a well deserved break along the Northumberland Coast Path

Northumberland Coastal Path

Starting your walking holiday in the fishing village of Cresswell, you follow the sweeping sands of Druridge, past the fishing port of Amble to the historic village of Warkworth where you can see Warkworth Castle - the first of many on the walk.

Leaving Warkworth you pass through pretty fishing villages such as Alnmouth, Boulmer and Craster, perhaps taking time to stop and sample some of the famous Craster kippers.

Take in further energising seascapes and fascinating ruins such as Dunstanburgh Castle before heading inland to the historic villages of Bamford and Belford. From Belford, a walk along dramatic cliff top paths will eventually bring you to Berwick-upon-Tweed.

Your holiday features hand-picked overnight accommodation in high quality B&B’s, country inns, and guesthouses. Each is unique and offers the highest levels of welcome, atmosphere and outstanding local cuisine.

We also include daily door to door baggage transfers, a comprehensive guidebook and pre-departure information pack as well as emergency support , should you need it.

Highlights:

  • Walking along sweeping sands and breathing in fresh sea air.
  • Discovering ancient castles and ruins including Warkworth, Dunstanburgh and Bamburgh.
  • Enjoying the local seafood specialities Craster kippers.
  • A warm Nothumbrian welcome from your hosts.
