Pennine Way

Starting in the village of Edale the first third of the walk takes you through the wild, open moorlands of the Peak District and Bronte country surrounding Haworth before reaching the beautiful scenery of the Yorkshire Dales and Three Peaks country at Horton-in-Ribblesdale.

A walk through beautiful Swaledale, a challenging climb up Great Shunner Fell and some wonderful sights such as High Force waterfall and the glaciated High Cup Nick will eventually take you out of the North Pennines to Hadrian’s Wall country.

Enjoy the fascinating and historical sights of old Roman milecastles and forts in this area before the final challenge of crossing the rugged Cheviot Hills and arriving at Kirk Yetholm where you will be able to celebrate the wonderful challenge you have just completed!

To make the Pennine Way accessible to a range of walkers we offer a few different itineraries. Those looking for a challenge may want to complete the full walk from Edale to Kirk Yetholm in 20 days.
If you are short of time and looking to experience just part of the walk, then we also offer itineraries doing the South, Central and North sections of the walk.
Or alternatively we also offer a short break taking in one of the nicest sections of the Pennine Way from Hawes to Keld.
Our Pennine Way walking holidays include hand-picked overnight accommodation in high quality B&B’s, country inns, and guesthouses, daily door to door baggage transfers, guidebook, detailed map and pre-departure information pack as well as emergency support.

Highlights:

  • Experiencing varied and stunning landscapes covering 3 National Parks.
  • The majestic views of Pen-y-Ghent and Fountain Fells in Three Peaks country.
  • The dramatic scenery of the glaciated valley, High Cup Nick.
  • Warm Northern welcomes from your hosts.
