Getting to Blairgowrie
Blairgowrie is 60 miles north of Edinburgh (Slightly further from Glasgow). Aim for Perth to begin with and then Blairgowrie is 15 miles north on the A85. By car the journey from Edinburgh takes 1.5 hours and Blairgowrie/Braemar is well signed from the A9. Perth has excellent public transport connections (1:30 by bus & 1:15 by train from Edinburgh and Glasgow). From Perth there are frequent buses to Blairgowrie which take 45 minutes. www.travelinescotland.com.

Fly to either Edinburgh or Glasgow.

Edinburgh International Airport
Located a few miles north west of Edinburgh and with excellent transport links.

Glasgow International Airport
Located 8 miles south of Glasgow is served by routes from around Britain and the world. A regular shuttle service runs to the city centre. Visit their website for details of operators and routes.

Prestwick International Airport
Located 30 miles south of Glasgow prestwick is served primarily by Ryanair. A train service runs from Prestwick to Glasgow city centre. Note that this takes approx. 50 mintes so don't cut it too fine. Again their website has details of routes and operators.

By Rail

By Road
Glasgow and Edinburgh are served by an excellent motorway network. From both cities it is a pleasant two hour drive north to Blair Atholl.

Parking is available at the start and end of the walk in Blairgowrie.
