The Highland Perthshire Trail - Climate & Area

Climate
Probably the most common question we are asked is "What will the weather be like?". Well, in Scotland the weather is certainly a talking point and as I like to say "If you don't like the weather wait 10 minutes."

We have a maritime climate and a not insubstantial amount of rain which gives us wonderful green glens, tumbling waterfalls and huge lochs. Despite this the summer is a wonderful time for walking with mild temperatures, lovely long days and not nearly as many rainy days as you would expect.

The Highland Perthshire Trail can be walked between March and October. The most popular time of year is between April and September when the weather is at its best and all facilities are open.

Highland Perthshire
Highland Perthshire is an absolutely wonderful area of Scotland. It is blessed with spectacular scenery and fertile farming land which has ensured a long and fascinating history. Huge castles, historical battlefields, lively pubs, thriving towns, a booming whiskey scene and welcoming local people combine to make this one of the most popular parts of Scotland.

Walking through highland Perthshire at your own pace is the ideal way to discover this wonderful landscape and a memory that you will treasure for ever.

You will find out more about this wonderful area on the official Visit Perthshire Website -www.perthshire.co.uk
