Getting
to the Start of the Walk - Drymen
Drymen is a small village about 20 miles north of Glasgow
on the South East corner of Loch Lomond. Glasgow is the nearest large
town so is the best option as a point of access.
You can then reach Drymen by public transport.

By Air
Glasgow is served by two international airports.
Glasgow International Airport
Located 8 miles south of Glasgow is served by routes from around
Britain and the world. A regular shuttle service runs to the
city centre. Visit their website for details of operators and

Prestwick International Airport
Located 30 miles south of Glasgow prestwick is served primarily
by Ryanair. A train service runs from Prestwick to Glasgow
city centre. Note
that
this takes approx. 50 mintes so
don't cut it too fine. Again their website has details of routes
and operators.

By Rail
Glasgow is served by several operators from throughout Britain.
It is important to book as far in advance as possible to

By Road
Glasgow is served by an excellent motorway network. long
term parking is generally not available in the city centre
but unsecure parking is available in Drymen at the start
of the walk.
Drymen is a 30 minute drive north of Glasgow.

By Bus
There are regular bus services from Glasgow to Drymen. Although
most do involve changes at either Balloch or Balfron. The journey takes
between 1 and two hours.

Getting
from Pitlochry
Pitlochry is well served by public transport as it is on the main north/south
rail and bus routes between Edinburgh/Glasgow and Inverness. Returning
from Pitlochry to Drymen does involve several changes of public transport
and takes some time, use the journey planner to sort this out if you need
to go back to Drymen.
