St Cuthbert’s
Way - Self Guided Walking Holiday
The St Cuthbert’s Way is a fascinating historical 63
mile walking holiday through the less trodden Scottish Borders and
Northumberland countryside. It finishes on the spectacular Holy
Island where the walk across the sands at low tide is truly memorable.
Starting your adventure in Melrose you will travel south via
the Eildon Hills which gives a fantastic vantage point of the
surrounding countryside. Near St Boswells you will walk along
the banks of the River Tweed famous for its salmon fishing, then
skirting Jedburgh to the north you continue east via Morebattle
and onto Kirk Yetholm for your overnight stop. Kirk Yetholm is
where the Pennine Way finishes and which runs for 270 miles through
the spine of England. The coast is now getting closer and after
wonderful walking to Wooler you continue east until the sea is
reached at Fenham for your walk across the sands to the spectacular
Lindisfarne. An unforgettable experience through both Scottish
Borders and Northern England.
Macs Adventure offers a wide range of itineraries from
4 to 7 days of walking on a self guided basis . Every holiday we offer

"
Just to say thank you for booking all the accommodation for me for the St Cuthbert's
Way Walk which I recently completed. I enjoyed the walk very much and all the
accommodation was great. Thanks too to the baggage transfer who did a
great job!" Keith Elbourne, UK
"We have just returned from our St Cuthbert's
Way walk and want to say how impressed we were with the selection
of accommodation
- all different but all excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the
walk and our only problem is which one to do next!
Many thanks." Val & Martyn
Plant, England
"Dear Neil,
We are back safely having had a great walk. It is a very good
route, surprised us just how nice the area is and ending at
Lindisfarne is just wonderful. Thank you for all your help
- it all worked
without a hitch and we did appreciate the Manor House Hotel
with its comforts and the view of the castle.
The weather was dry every inch of the way - we were very lucky." Frances Bell, UK.
