Our Ben Nevis walking guides are some of the best in the business. Passionate, professional, charming and knowledgable. (I'll stop there before they get carried away). They are dedicated to ensuring that you have a safe, enjoyable and memorable experience on Ben Nevis.
All our guides/leaders hold the appropriate summer or winter Mountain Leaders Award from the Mountain Leader Training Association and a recognised first aid qualification. All have years of experience of enjoying the outdoors and working in the hills. Most have a range of outdoor qaulifications and a few of them have even bagged all the munros. Generally they can be relied on to look after you well and tell bad jokes.
Our maximum client:leader ration is 10:1 in summer and 6:1 in winter although ratios are normally lower than this so you have a better experience.
Having the correct equipment and clothing will keep you comfortable and safe in the sometimes extreme environment that we choose to enjoy ourselves in. Summer and winter kits lists are substantially different. Download summer Ben Nevis kit list / Download Winter Ben Nevis Kit List
You should idealy stay in Fort William for the night before and after your climb. There is a large range of accommodation available and we would be happy to book this for you as an optional extra.
Please bring a packed lunch and water to keep you going well all day.
Leave Fort William heading north towards Inverness, at the roundabout just after the Nevis Bank Hotel turn left, over bridge and then take first right after Glenlochy Guest House and before traffic lights. Continue on past industrial units and then turn right before the Spar (signed Ben Nevis and Ben Nevis Inn), follow the single track road for just over a mile and you will reach the Ben Nevis Inn at Achintee. Your guide will meet you at the information board just before the gate.
The 4 hour train journey to and from Glasgow / Fort William is spectacular and a great way to begin / end your adventure. A Regular bus service also runs to and from Glasgow / Fort William.
