Ben Nevis (Private Guiding)

Ben Nevis (Private Guiding)

Climb Ben Nevis, Scotland's highest peak with one of our experienced professional guides. Ben Nevis stands at 1,344 metres (4,408 feet) on the west coast of Scotland near Fort William and attracts tens of thousands of walkers and climbers each year. At Macs Adventure we have been helping individuals, small groups and charity groups to achieve their goals since 2003 on Ben Nevis. Our professional guides have hundreds of ascents between them and take pride in deivering an outstanding guiding service on Ben Nevis.

Climbing Ben Nevis is a real challenge in summer as you start from just above sea level and climb to 1344m and in winter conditions the mountain takes on a whole new dimesion cloaked in a shroud of snow and ice.

The Mountain Track from Glen Nevis is a straightforward route in summer and thousands climb without a guide to appreciate the spectacular views of the Scottish Highlands with the Isle of Mull, Isle of Skye, Glencoe and the Cairngorm mountains all visible on a clear day.

The CMD Arête is the other common walking route and offers a much more interesting and challenging route to the summit of Ben Nevis. There is some very easy scrambling involved along exposed ridges so you should be happy with heights and have a good level of fitness.

The weather on Ben Nevis is often inhospitable and you should consider hiring a private guide for your group if you are: inexperienced, climbing between October and May (when the summit plateau is snow covered), organising an event for your charity, company or club (you have a duty of care to participants), want to increase your chance of success if conditions are bad or would simply like a deeper insight into the mountain, area, geology, flora and fauna that our local guides offer.

We look forward to helping you achieve your goals on Ben Nevis.

Highlights:

  • Standing at the summit cairn with a real sense of achievement
  • Enjoying the incredible panorama of Lochs and Mountains
  • Learning new skills and putting them into practice in a superb setting
  • Prices from £ 250.00

I just wanted to email and say what an excellent day we had on Saturday climbing (well, walking up) Ben Nevis with our guide Andy. We thoroughly enjoyed the day, the weather and fabulous view were added bonuses of course and a really nice surprise. Andy was a superb guide, with tonnes of expertise and skill. I am hoping to have a go at the National Three Peaks with some friends at the end of June, and Andy’s advice and knowledge of the area will certainly come in very handy. We will certainly be coming back! With very best wishes -  Polly Kirk

We would like to thank Alisa for making our climb up Ben Nevis a day to remember. She was knowledgeable, approachable and, most importantly, paced the day to fit us. She's a great guide.
Please thank Alisa on our behalf and we would not hesitate to use Macs Adventure again for future Scottish mountain climbs.  - Elizabeth Jordan
