About
Neil Lapping
The Macs Adventure blog is written by Neil Lapping, owner, operator of Macs Adventure Holidays. My aim is to keep you entertained, informed and up to date with what is happening at Macs Adventure and share my passion for walking and adventure holidays.
Macs Adventure is based in Scotland, our very own adventure playground and I hope I can share my love for Scotland and the Highlands with you.
I have been involved in the outdoors for as long as I can remember and my childhood involved walking, sailing, mountain biking and camping. On leaving uni I spent four years teaching sailing, windsurfing and waterskiing in France, Italy and Greece for a large tour operator and indulging my passion for travel and windsurfing around the world.
Scotland’s draw eventually proved too much and I settled in Glasgow and started Macs Adventure in 2003. Since then I have aquired even more pastimes including kitesurfing, surfing, climbing and munro bagging. All this means a garage full of gear that seems to get used slightly less frequently since the arrival of our son in 2007. I am sure that I will also be sharing the joys of family adventure holidays on this blog with you.
I am looking forward to sharing my experiences of adventure in Scotland with you.
