Corsica GR20

The GR20 traverses the island of Corsica diagonally taking you high into the snow capped peaks above, winding your way along the spine of Corsica’s rugged mountains with the dramatic coastline spread out beneath you. As the path makes many ascents and descents along the trail, you will find yourself immersed in the alpine surroundings. Corsica’s GR20 is Europe’s toughest long distance path and is definitely for the more seasoned walker.

Weaving your way across the dense, ancient woodlands, beside the translucent alpine lakes really puts you through your paces. It does rewards you with panoramic views from the summit which on a clear day stretch as far as Tuscany and the Alps. There is even a chance to gain insight into working mountain communities when the trail passes between small mountain villages. The sense of achievement on completing this walk will stay with you for years to come.

Many people from all over the world take on Corsica’s famous GR20 walk every year , some decide to walk only the North or South section and some decide to walk the full 180km. We can cater for all three sections, we offer luggage transfer along the way and provide accommodation in a variety of refuges, camps and gites.

Highlights:

  • The chance to tick Europe’s toughest long distance path off your list
  • Enjoying the diversity of terrain from high mountainous ridges to dense, ancient woodland
  • Immerse yourself in the working mountain communities
  • Tackling the Cirque de la Solitude, a deep chasm that has to be climbed with the aid of metal chains and ladders.
  • Completing a unique and rewarding journey, the GR20.
