The Dingle Way Map and Itinerary

DAY 1 - Arrive Starting Point: Camp

We will provide all the information you need to get you to your accommodation in the charming village of Camp where you can check-in, freshen-up and get yourselves a well deserved drink to start off your holiday.

Overnight Finglas

House Finglas House is a modern family run B&B located right in the centre of Camp Village. The house has amazing views over Tralee Bay.

DAY 2 - Camp to Annascaul—12 Miles

The first day leads you away from Camp and straight into the Slieve Mish mountain range. Walking up to a height of 705 feet you will have amazing views of the highest mountain in the range, Baurtregaum. As you descend you will glimpse the stunning nature reserve of Inch Beach before arriving for your overnight in Annascaul

Overnight Four Winds

The Four Winds is a family run B&B located in incredibly peaceful, scenic surroundings.

DAY 3 - Annascaul to Dingle—14 miles

From Annascaul you head west, along meandering country roads. You will get the chance to visit the 16th Century Minard Castle before stopping off for lunch in the charming village of Lispole. Then its back towards the spine of the peninsula for some truly stunning views of Dingle Bay as you arrive into town.

Overnight Dingle

Dingle is a lovely town, filled to the brim with Irish charm. There is a lively traditional nightlife that is well worth indulging in.

DAY 4 - Rest Day in Dingle

It may be a rest day, but if you want to fill it up there will be absolutely no problem at all. You can take a boat trip and swim with the local dolphins or take a half day historical tour of the area. The town is renowned for its seafood and with 53 licensed premises you wont be stuck for somewhere to have a relaxing drink.

DAY 5 - Dingle to Dunquin—13 Miles

From Dingle you head further west bringing you to the glorious golden sands of Ventry Harbour. After dipping your wearied feet in the turquoise sea, head onto the medieval roads of Slea Head past many beehive huts until you arrive in Dunquin

Overnight An Portan

With a highly rated restaurant and offering Irish language courses An Portan is a unique and lovely guesthouse situated near the amenities of the village.

DAY 6 - Dunquin to Ballycurrane—14 Miles

A great, bracing days walking along the coastal paths. You will pass by Ferriters Cove and the 3 Sisters, before the trail swings east to take you along the sandy beaches of Smerwick harbour.

Overnight Ballycurrane

The village of Ballycurrane is a relaxing remove from the stresses of modern life. Here you can relax and prepare yourself for your final days walk.

DAY 7 - Ballycurrane to Cloghane—13 Miles

One of the most remote sections of the whole walk which offers a combination of history and breathtaking views.  You will cross the shoulder of Mount Brandon, one of Irelands highest mountains and pass by groups of standing stones.  You cross blanket bogs where the turf is still harvested in the traditional way before ending up in the quiet village of Cloghane.

Overnight O’Connors Bar and Guesthouse

A homely, family run guesthouse in the shadow of Mount Brandon and overlooking Brandon Bay.  A truly beautiful village to finish a memorable walk.

DAY 8 Onward travel.

After breakfast we will arrange transport back to Camp where you can begin to make your way home.
