One of the highlights of this tour is the high standard of the accommodation. We specifically choose the hotels, inns, guesthouses and B&B’s to ensure that you enjoy every minute of your stay. All offer a warm welcome to walkers, traditional hospitality and delicious local food.
Below you will find a list of the accommodation we regularly use which will give you a good idea of the standard of accommodation we use.
The option is available for you to upgrade your accommodation so that your stay is exclusively in Hotel accommodation. If you are booking for a special occasion or just want that extra bit of luxury at the end of your day's walk, then you can upgrade to stay in our great selection of walker friendly hotels. Prices vary per itinerary.
This independent walking holiday is available to solo walkers at a supplement. Please note that singles may not be of the same standard as twins/doubles.
A hearty breakfast is included each morning. Lunch and dinner are not included so you are free to choose from the available options. Most of your accommodations will more than happy to provide a packed lunch on request and this can be booked on arrival. Dinner is available either at your accommodation or nearby pubs and restaurants and your guide book will have details.
Your bags will be transferred from your accommodation as per your itinerary and moved onto your next overnight accommodation. We ask you to limit your luggage to one bag of up to 15kg per person.

A warm welcome awaits you at Guisachan House, a family run private hotel offering bed and breakfast in Fort William. We are situated in an elevated position only 10 minutes walk from Fort William town centre, railway station, bus stance, shops, cinema and tourist information centre.

Forest Lodge is managed by Robert and Phoebe Hutchinson and offers a warm family welcome to Great Glen Way walkers.

Castle Hotel
A beautiful castle hotel overlooking Loch Oich is a highlight for many visitors. This hotel is used as standard on our hotel option and available as an upgrade on the B&B option.

Guesthouse
Nick and Fran Walker extend you a warm welcome to Nia-Roo Lodge. This beautiful granite stone-built Victorian residence located in Fort Augustus in the beautiful Scottish Highlands dates back to the mid 1800’s and reflects the character and splendour of that era.

Hotel
Commanding stunning views of Loch Ness, the Inchnacardoch Lodge Hotel is a majestic Scottish country house overlooking Loch Ness, at the picturesque Loch Ness side village of Fort Augustus in the Heart of the Highlands.(Hotel option only)

Bed & Breakfast
Located in the centre of Invermoriston and a stones throw from the pub Bracarina is a purpose built guesthouse with little extras such as a sauna to revive tired legs.

Country Hotel
The original hotel built on this site dates back from 1740, 6 years before the battle of Culloden when the building was originally a drover’s inn, a stop over point for farmers taking their cattle to and from market. It still offers great hospitality and is used for our hotel option.

Brigend House is run by Rosalyn Luffman and is a member of Scotland's best B&B's. And for good reason, this is an absolutely superb B&B.

Cavell House is a well-appointed Victorian House built in 1842 with lovely views over Cavell Gardens and the River Ness.
The 4 hour train journey from Glasgow to Fort William is spectacular and a great way to begin your adventure. A Regular bus service also runs to and from Glasgow / Fort William.
Inverness has excellent transport links by road, rail and air.
We are more than happy to organise private transfers, airport pickups and drop-offs at very reasonable prices. This often works out as a very cost effective option for small groups. Please contact us with your requirements for a quote.
