Comments about macs adventure Magical Morocco Grand Tour:

Great tour -suggest some changes however. V well organised. It is very varied – from the chaos of the Medinas in Fes and Marrakech, to the spectacular gorges of the Mid-Atlas and beautiful scenery in the High-Atlas, the wonderful old Kasbahs, glamping in the Sahara for a night and the laid back fishing town of Essaouria.
Inevitably involves a lot of driving. ~1500km. compensated for by the great and varied views along the way and the informative discussions with our driver/guide Najeeb. Local guides in cities will take you to the shops of their friends unless you make it very clear that you do not want to do any shopping and are more interested in a cultural tour. We would avoid Marrakech: unfriendly, dangerous (motorbikes in tiny streets - our guide was injured and hospitalised . Animal cruelty in main square circus acts, no decent food in medina. Fes medina is much better. Spend more time in Atlas or Essaouria (visit the many fish market stands where you can pick out a mixed platter from the fish on display and they grill and serve it to you on the spot. We had a fabulous feast for $20). Another section we would consider extending, instead of Marrakech, is the time for walking in the High Atlas. An extra day there would be great. We really liked the accommodation - be prepared some of it is "rustic" Morrocan. Take more money than you might think for tipping. Not that you have to tip large amounts but there are a large number of "services" that might need a tip. This was great trip and we would definitely recommend a Moroccan tour like this over trying to drive and put all the other elements of hotels and activities together yourself. Overall we were very happy with this tour. Thanks again MA!

Comments about macs adventure Magical Morocco Grand Tour:

The tour was well organized and gave us the best way to see the diversity of a large country. We loved each region for the unique qualities it offered. We particularly enjoyed exploring Essaouira on our own. There were times where the experience was more touristy than adventurous, but even these moments were enjoyable. The accommodations were wonderful, though it is important to be realistic about what to expect when staying in the old medinas. The merchant culture can be a bit tiresome so keep your sense of humor. This is an easy trip that allows for some great cultural exploration.
