Mountain Biking ScotlandIntroduction to Trail Riding - Two Day Course

Our Introduction to Trail Riding is an action packed two day course, which will give you the skills you need to enjoy and progress with your mountain biking.

Our mountain bike skills courses are based at Glentress, south of Edinburgh. Glentress has been voted Best UK Trail by Singletrack magazine two years running and is the perfect location to hone your skills.

Mountain Biking ScotlandOur introductory course is aimed at those with little off-road experience. We aim to give you all the skills necessary to ride moderate mountain bike trails competently, confidently, safely and with a huge grin.

Our courses run over two days (normally weekends) and cover everything from safety and trail etiquette, bike set up and equipment maintenance, balance, braking, climbing, descending, cornering, dealing with obstacles (roots, rocks and drop-offs) to basic navigation and training.

Over the two action-packed, fun filled days you will discover how to get the most from your body and bike. Our courses are limited to a maximum of six students and this ensures personal Mountain Biking Scotlandattention from our expert instructors as well as a friendly, relaxed and supportive atmosphere.
