Multi Activity Scotland Essential Info

Accommodation

One of the highlights of this tour is the high standard of the accommodation we use.
We hand pick the three and four star hotels, inns, guesthouses and B&B’s to ensure that you enjoy every minute of your stay. All offer a warm welcome to outdoor enthusiasts, traditional hospitality and delicious local food.

Our favourites in Oban include Kathmore Guesthouse, Old Manse Guest House , High Cliff Guest House and Heatherfield House

In Fort William you will be staying at Guisachan Guest House, Berkeley House, Myrtle Bank or Glengyle. All friendly owner operated guest houses who provide outstanding service.

Pitlochry has a wealth of charming accommodation and our partners include the Acarsaid Hotel, and Wellwood House .

Single Rooms

A limited number of single rooms are available although a single supplement is payable.

Meals

A hearty Scottish breakfast is included each morning. Lunches and dinners are not included but always available at your accommodation or nearby. Our information pack includes numerous recommendations.

Travel & Hire Car

This is a self-drive holiday, if you need to hire a car we can arrange hire cars from our local suppliers at competitive rates. This can be booked at the time of making your reservation.

Activities

Your multi activity tour of Scotland includes: Two and a half days self-guided walking (maps and route notes included), one day guided sea kayaking, half day mountain bike hire, half day white water rafting. Activities are totally optional but this tour is a multi activity tour so if you are looking for a straightforward sightseeing tour where you experience Scotland through a window this is not the tour for you.

Your Guides & Instructors

White water rafting and sea kayaking are provided by our local partners. They only employ the best professional guides and instructors. All are fully qualified and activities are operated according to strict safety standards. They are totally passionate about Scotland, the environment and adventure.

Equipment

We supply all the equipment required for sea kayaking and mountain biking but you will have to supply your own outdoor clothing. The most important things you need to bring are:

  • Good walking boots or shoes.
  • Waterproof jacket and trousers.
  • Daypack.
  • Warm fleece jacket, hat and gloves.
  • Camera.

You can download a full kit list from our website downloads page and your information pack also has a kit list.
