Norfolk Coast Path

The Norfolk Coast Path follows 47 miles of stunning coastline on England’s East Coast and is part of the larger National Trail which covers the Peddars Way as well. The route passes through the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and it boasts dramatic cliff edges, sand dunes and wide open beaches. Passing through traditional British seaside resorts, many with traditional Victorian Piers this trail is a relaxing walk which will leave you feeling refreshed and invigorated.

Starting in Hunstanton the trail follows a series of already existing footpaths. Low cliff tops and Norfolk shorelines prevail until you reach the bustling town of Cromer on the east coast. This walk can be slightly more challenging than its sister walk the Peddars Way as it is more exposed to the elements and includes more pronounced gradients. However this path still makes for a great long distance walk either following on from the Peddars Way or simply on its own as a historical seaside walk.

Walking along the Norfolk Coast Path you will have the opportunity to visit many of the nature reserves which allow this area to be known as one of the best examples of Coastal environments in Britain. The many historical points of interest along the way such as Branodunum Fort and the mysterious Bronze Aged monument ‘Seahenge’ at Holme beach make this a walk with plenty to offer.

Our walking holidays on the Norfolk Coast Path include hand picked B&B, guest house and small hotel accommodation in each village along the way, daily door to door baggage transfer, detailed maps and guidebooks and emergency telephone support so you can just relax and enjoy the trail.

Highlights:

  • The fantastic marine and birdlife around the shores.
  • Victorian seaside piers at the towns you pass through.
  • Sandy beaches, cliff walking and sand dunes.
  • Watching the sunset at the beach with an ice cream in hand!
