You pass some of the finest beaches in Europe and some of Irelands most awe inspiring scenery. The area is also steeped in the ancient history of the country and the walk takes you past Iron Age forts, Ogham stones and old monasteries and you are given a great chance to submerge yourself in the way the people of the area used to live, work and farm.
