Highlights of the Tour du Mont Blanc in Comfort

Since The Tour du Mont Blanc was inaugurated as a GR in 1952 it has gained a reputation as one of the world’s classic treks. The route around Mont Blanc through France, Switzerland and Italy explores Europe’s best Alpine landscape and is a true classic trek.

On our Tour du Mont Blanc in Comfort trek you will stay in private twin/double rooms in carefully selected two and three star hotels and one mountain hut and your baggage will be transferred each day. Walking in a clockwise direction you will cover 6 days of the best walking of the Tour du Mont Blanc, using lifts, private transfers and public transport to skip so that you can spend your time on the best sections of the Tour du Mont Blanc.

Starting from Chamonix you walk the Tour du Mont Blanc clockwise to Argentière then Champex, Val Ferret, Courmayeur, Col du Bonhomme and finish at Notre Dame de La Gorge, with your last night spent in St Gervais le Fayet. The designers of the Tour du Mont Blanc deserve a pat on the back as around every corner the peaks, glaciers, lakes and forests just seem to get even more beautiful. The Tour du Mont Blanc really is a classic walk which invites superlatives.

This version of the Tour du Mont Blanc is ideal if you prefer more comfortable accommodation in private rooms and want to sample the best of this classic trek in a week. Although still challenging the daily walks are slightly easier than our other Tour du Mont Blanc itineraries. Accommodation is in comfortable two and three star hotels in private twin/double rooms with private bath except in Les Chapieux where you will stay in a private room in a mountain hut. Daily baggage transfer is included each day as is a detailed information pack, maps, guidebook and emergency support.

Highlights:

  • Walking Europe's classic long distance trek through France, Italy and Switzerland
  • Wonderful alpine views at every twist and turn of the trail
  • Charming hotels of charachter offering great food and an authentic mountain welcome.
