Macs Adventure Success on Ben Nevis Climb

by Neil on November 20, 2009

Debbie booked our Ben Nevis private guiding service to celebrate her husband’s birthday. (I won’t tell you which one but it was an important one!).

They tackled the Ben Last Saturday (14th November) with one of our experienced guides, Ian Stephenson. Despite really challenging conditions including plenty of snow and high winds they persevered and made it to the summit. A great birthday treat and certainly a surprise that Trevor won’t forget in a hurry!

When we asked Debbie “How Did we Do?” here is what she had to say:

Dear Neil

Trevor and I had the most amazing trek up Ben Nevis with Ian on Saturday; and Ian’s knowledge of Ben Nevis was very impressive and extremely interesting listen too which helped take the strain out of the difficult parts of the trek.

On the way up to the summit we met a few people coming down who didn’t make it as they were unsure of where to walk; so having our own guide ‘Ian’ made a huge difference, and as we got there the large snow flakes started to fall – fantastic it was like a winter wonderland.

Also thanks for the superb shopping guide; because of that we both had the correct clothing and stayed dry and warm throughout the day.

Please pass our thanks to Ian, and I’m sure we will be contact you again for our next adventure……

Kind regards, Debbie

Ian, one of Macs Adventure’s team of professional mountain leaders has once again demonstrated the benefits of employing a guide on Ben Nevis during the winter months.
