I cannot praise the whole organisation highly enough.Macs Adventures have chosen an excellent partner in Duma Explorer.Their porters were friendly and helpful and their guides were outstanding and there is no way I would have got to the summit without their help and support.Neil Lapping was a real leader. Even when he felt rough he always put others before himself and his support, advice and encouragement was invaluable.

A true African adventure with a mixed group of individuals who became a team.

Tiring but the sense of achievement when you accomplish it is fabulous. A great team of Tanzanians who want you to succeed – and not every group does. Also managed to lose 11lbs in weight despite eating everything that was put in front of me.

The Tents, Food, Guides and Porters were brilliant.

Enormous credit to the Cook in particular.

I think the toilet facilities could have been improved, compared with the very expensive and superb tents.

I went on this trip to celebrate my 65th birthday. I had trained and was pretty fit but the last day required every ounce of my strength. Up till then each day had been equivalent to a good days walk in The Lakes. The guides and porters looked after us really well, we were comfortable and never in any danger. The camararderie amongst the climbers was excellent.

The Kili trip was a brilliant adventure, a once in a lifetime challenge. I am a mum of 2 small kids and have a busy, active life. I wouldn’t say i was very fit and i didn’t have much time to train. This worried me a little before the trip. It however wasn’t a problem, in the most part i found the walking relatively easy even dare i say quite relaxing. The day you go to the summit is alas another story. This is the real challenge and takes every ounce of strength you have but, what can i say…..we all made it – young and old. The team spirit helps you along as do the excellent team from Arusha – the guides and porters. They do everything they can to make you as comfortable as possible. The food was nutritious and delicious and the equipment top quality. On top of all that we all had great fun and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Thanks again to Macs for their meticulous planning which i believe was a massive component in making this trip such a success. A week on the beach in Zanzibar would have been nice afterwards!
