Comments about South Downs Way Walking Holiday :
Everything was well organized, and everything worked well. B&B etc establishments seemed to have respect for Macs as well, which helped.
Found the tour a bit disappointing in that we were not close to villages etc of interest. Also thought the tour was rather a slog, to do the distances in the day. Did not find the Harveys map that helpful, although reason for choosing it understood. Would have much preferred OS maps as these would have helped with spacial awareness and with working out how to get to places of interest: Harveys was of no help for this.
Also quickly discovered that our personal itinerary wasn’t personal and that distances per day could not therefore be relied upon to plan properly. With hindsight taking extra days to take in the area better and to deviate to and from places of interest with OS maps would have been better for us. Maybe a longer lasting tour which allows extra days could be useful.
However, we were quite impressed with Macs Adventure Ltd and would recommend to others.

Comments about South Downs Way Walking Holiday :
We had a fantastic week and it proved to be more of a challenge than we expected, which is always good in our books. There was just one poor quality night in Washington, but the lady is selling up so this won’t be a problem for further walkers of this route. She was very welcoming, the accomodation was just tired and too small for two hot walkers with big packs. Our luggage was delivered on time. [...]

With only 3 working days’ notice & and Bank Holiday inbetween, MacsAdventure managed to create a tailormade break for me and got all the organisation done and dusted – all with a very cheerful and enthusiastic manner. A pleasure to work with!

Comments about South Downs Way Walking Holiday :
We loved the countryside.
Several of the accommodations were outstanding and most of them were good. Breakfast was usually first rate but one place charged extra for a cooked breakfast. All but two of the places had baths, which are wonderful for tired limbs. When the weather turned cold so did the last two accommodations!
