Comments about Walking in Umbria Walking Holiday :
The overall package was very good. The walks, particularly over the first three days, are challenging. The base in Assisi is below the city which means a climb back for an evening meal, etc. No problem getting food for a picnic. Directions for some of the walks were not accurate – thank goodness for a good map on day 3. The walk on day 4 suggested following gravel tracks when the map showed a perfectly good equivalent on footpaths. The maps for days 5 and 6 were photocopies which lacked clarity of detail.
