Comments about West Highland Way Walking Holiday :
The B&B accommodation was excellent, the Hotel’s especially Bridge Of Orchy are expensive and very overrated, food poor, service fair, plumbing in room inexcusable. The whole place is tired and does not deserve its “excellent” reputation. To add a bit of satisfaction to your clients you should surprise them with a “You Did It” memento at the end.
Easily recommend this company

Accommodation was as requested and standard was excellent. Booking was easy and e- mails answered promptly.
Walk itself was exceptional as expected made all the better by amazing weather and pre- walk preparation as advised!
Another fab Scottish holiday – first on foot – but more walking holidays now in the planning!

We had a brilliant time on the West Highland Way. The organisation from Macs was great .We had a weather update from them before we left along with a route update on diversions due to the snow.
. The bag transfer worked smoothly, and the Taxi transfers were reliable. The accommodation was almost faultless. ( We didn’t have a good night at the Drovers, but booked late so choices were limited). Special mention must go to Ewich house and Allt Na Leven , both these B&B s were exceptional with regard to service and friendliness.
The camaraderie on the walk was great, and the sense of achievement was amazing. We did it over 8 days (as I am an overweight 40 something and was walking with my 10 year old daughter) and this worked well for us. Most people did it over 7 days. WE were very lucky with the weather. It was cold but blue skies and sunny.
I would highly recommend walking the West Highland Way and would trust Macs again. Maybe the Great Glen Way next?

after having an amazing week on the West Highland Way with 2 Friends from down south, the lads were amazed at how well organized things were with baggage transfers and accomodation,Having used your company before I was able 2 convince them just 2 leave there bags in the accomodation and they would be at our next destination when we arrive, the week went like clockwork for the whole duration of our trip.

My 16 year old daughter and I wanted to set ourselves the challenge of Walking the Way followed by Ben Nevis. It was really peaceful and beautiful….and very tiring! Ben Nevis was like a motorway in comparison to the WWF which was really quiet. We did not want to camp on this occasion so Macs did all the organising for us which was seamless with friendly and high quality B&Bs throughout. If only they could organise the weather but that’s August for you!

We had a really good time doing the Highlights of West Highland Way, with rain and storm and sun, walking for a long time through interesting and overwhelming landscapes! We enjoyed the B&B’s, Hotels and lodges. We were glad that the people of Drover’s Inn found our purse, that we collected on our way back to Edinburgh. We loved all the pub food, got partly dries boots back and learned that the scotish people do not walk on ways but in the water.
Excellent trip for healthy people!

I was impressed very early in the process when Macs Adventure sent me a waterproof trail map and guide book, which had been highly recommended by another book I was reading.
I was very pleased with the baggage handling. That made things very easy.
I was amazed by the accommodations. Glengarry House in Tyndrum stood out as a wonderful place to stay. Allt-Na-Leven was also above and beyond normal places to stay.

We had a great time on the WHW – full of beautiful scenery and rugged landscape which made for a challenging walk. Our group was like the walking wounded by the end, but it was so satisfying to finish such an iconic walk with all of us in one piece!
We were really grateful to Mac’s for the organisation. Everything ran like clockwork – big bags were taken care of, and delivered to our accommodation by the time we rolled in. The guest houses were all good, and they’d obviously done their research into where would offer us good hospitality.
All in all, a great trip and one that we would highly recommend!
