		<description>Hi Sander,

I&#039;m gald to hear that you enjoyed reading my diary.

Personally I did use Diamox as I was concerned about the rapid rate of ascent involved with climbing Kili and I had used Diamox before whilst trekking in Nepal. I am not a medical professional and would in no way recommend using Diamox. What I would suggest is that if you are thinking about using Diamox you should speak to your doctor/GP and ask them for a prescription.

I&#039;m going to be writing a lengthy blog post on altitude sickness and using Diamox shortly and will be sure to add the link to this thread.

Enjoy Kili, it is a fantastic experience and you will have an unforgettable experience.
Cheers

<description>Wow, a very nice journey/diary! I am going to climb the Kilimanjaro early September and have a question after reading your blog; did you use Diamox during the climb? I hear very different stories from doctors so I&#039;m confused a bit. What are your experiences on the Kili?

Thanks in advance!
