[...] Baggage transportation service was fantastic. Room quality varied especially noticeable when traveling as two couples – one couple generally had a much better room for each stop. One thing that left a sour taste on the 2nd night were the horrendously rude and inept staff at the Rowardennan Hotel who made a mistake with our booking – not what you want to hear after walking for 7 hours. This mistake was eventually admitted by the receptionist and confirmed by Macs but then refuted by the alleged manager who treated us terribly, gave us the wrong keys to alternative accommodation telling us we couldn’t use the living room in the lodge and then glowered at us all night when we are at dinner.On balance however we all loved this holiday and the majority of accommodation was friendly and comfortable. MacsAdventure are reliable even if one of their hotels aren’t.Overall it left us with a glow inside and out. Scotland is unbeatable in the UK for scenery and walking.
