Hi Gary,

We generally use the Premier Inn in Milngavie or the Best Foot Forward B&B. You can go ahead and book this yourselves or if you want us to do it, just let us know.

Getting to Edinburgh from Fort William requires a few changes, but I believe the hire car option is quite difficult with the only hire option in Fort William being a local operator who does not do one way drop-offs. You can either take the coach/train to Glasgow and then the coach/train to Edinburgh, which would take about 5-6 hours all together. Alternatively you can take the coach to Inverness and then the train back down to Edinburgh. Each way takes a similar length of time, however taking the train back down to Glasgow means that you follow the West Highland Way for much of the journey and is often good for a bit of reflection on what you have just achieved.

For accommodation in Edinburgh I would recommend a Google search on it to find the cheapest and best. We do not have anywhere with arranged rates in Edinburgh so often you can get the rooms cheaper online. If you want to know about a places location or see if we have heard anything about it though, we are more than happy to help out.

Anything else you need before you go, dont hesitate to get in touch.

Cheers

our booking reference is 28141 May 5

We are looking for accomodations in Milngavie the night of May 4th. Would like a recommendation on where to stay.

Also, when we finish our hike, we will leave Fort Williams (after staying the extra day) for Edinburgh. Would you recommend that we travel to Edinburgh via rental car? bus? train?

Would you recommend accomodation for our stay in Edinburgh?

Thank you.
