Walking in Mallorca

Surprisingly beautiful and quiet, the northwest coast of Mallorca is a delight for walkers. The limestone Sierra de Tramuntana with their rugged tops, isolated valleys and varied flora are a walkers paradise.

During this trip you walk from one picturesque village to another, along coastal cliffs and idyllic beaches or right through the mountains, crossing vast private estates with orange, almond and olive trees.

Your journey begins in the small but perfectly formed village of Valldemossa, and follows well-marked walking routes through tranquil mountainous landscapes, along the Mediterranean coastline and past the beautiful beaches of Deia, Puerto Pollensa and Cala Tuent.

Fabulous walking is combined with hand picked accommodation. You will stay at two traditional Mallorquin manor houses, which have been converted into boutique hotels and a charming beach hotel, where you can lierally walk straight into the sea. Baggage transfer and great backup are of course included to ensure that you enjoy every minute of your stay in Mallorca.

Highlights:

  • Soaking up the pristine mountain landscape of the Sierra de Tramuntana
  • Tasty Mediterranean cuisine and fresh orange juice served at the estates, specially for walkers
  • Lovely terraces and small shops in Valldemossa, Deia and Soller
  • The Cartuja of Valldemossa, where Frederic Chopin and George Sand spent a winter as bohemian tourists
  • Plunging into the cool waters of the Med at the end of your walk
