Anna Wren: D&A Sales Specialist
Areas of expertise: Adventure Sales Specialist
Growing up with parents who had traveled throughout Europe and Africa, I’ve always loved travelling. They instilled in me a love of adventure and a love of good local food. Our house was always full of treasures my parents had collected on their adventures and as soon as I was old enough, I couldn’t wait to add to the memories.
I graduated from the University of Stirling in 2016 with a degree in English Studies and afterwards worked in the local cinema. At the same time, I was lucky enough to start working at Wild Scotland. This sparked an interest in helping people go on adventures of their own and I knew after my internship I wanted to be involved in the travel and tourism industry in some way. Luckily for me, Macs Adventure had an opening at the right time and here I am, part of the Destination and Sales Team.
Over the course of my life I’ve enjoyed adventures in Spain, France, Germany and the US, to name only a few of the stunning countries I have visited. When I go on holidays I want to taste the local food, climb mountains and get lost amongst the trees. When I travel it’s important to me that my experience is as authentic as possible so I try to visit the café’s the locals do and always ask for advice from the local people.
In my free time, I’m trying to be more adventurous on a smaller, local scale. I’m currently teaching myself to roller skate and cannot wait to try out the skate park near my house. Hopefully, when I’ve got a handle on it I can skate into work!
