Self Guided Walking Holidays & Cycling Holidays

Travelling has always been a huge passion of mine ever since I was a child. My parents used to take my siblings and I on holidays all over Europe from quite a young age, which is something that I am truly grateful for as it ignited the love for exploring new places and meeting new people that I have today.

We never really used to fly to our destinations. My parents would squeeze us all into our car and off we went to wherever the road would take us. One of my favourite road trips was along the west coast of the US. Flying in a helicopter over the Grand Canyon, staring up at the sky trying to see the tops of tall Redwood trees in San Francisco and walking The Strip in Las Vegas are moments I’ll never forget.

It was during some of these family trips that my love for the UK developed, and after studying a semester abroad at Manchester Business School and completing an internship in Bristol after graduation, a permanent move to the UK felt inevitable. As Scotland had captured a big part of my heart, with its amazing nature and extremely friendly people, I decided that Glasgow would be the perfect city for me. I left the south of Sweden about four months ago and haven’t looked back since. Landing a job here at Macs Adventure has been the highlight of this entire experience so far, and I can’t wait to see what adventures my time here will bring.
