Grade & Terrain
Almost completely flat, this cycle tour is graded easy with daily distances ranging between 28 and 57 km. This tour is well-suited to those who have never taken a cycling holiday before and you also have the option of skipping the cycling and relaxing on board. Most of the days there are shorter cycling routes available, please view the itinerary to make sure you are comfortable. You will be biking mostly on dedicated cycle paths alongside canals, rivers and through the iconic cities and towns of the region. Roads near larger towns and cities are likely to busier. Please always be mindful of other road users, especially on sections of the route when the road is shared with traffic.
Navigation
Your tour leader will accompany you on the daily cycling tours, therefore you will not be required to navigate yourself.
Accommodation Information
You will spend each night on the Princesse Royal in a comfortable cabin. Your boat is always docked at night and only sails during the day.
Princesse Royal
The Princesse Royal accommodates approximately 32 – 35 guests and has a total of 16 cabins on the lower deck. There are 11 twin cabins (11 m²), 2 premium twin cabins (14 m²) and one single cabin (7 m²). The twins have two single beds set next to each other and the premium twins have a small sitting area in addition to that. On prior request, the beds in most twin cabins can be set together as a double bed.
Each cabin has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet, and washbasin. In addition to this the cabins have individually regulated air conditioning, ventilation system, and central heating, and the portholes in all cabins are fixed for safety reasons. Each cabin has a flat-screen (satellite) TV, a mini-safe and a hairdryer.
On the upper deck, there is a tastefully furnished salon with a restaurant and bar, a lounge with large windows and Wi-Fi (limited use of data). There are also two partly covered teak wooden sun decks with chairs and tables and a cycle shed (front deck). Guests can relax on the aft deck in the whirlpool/ Jacuzzi.
