Discover Spain's historic heart from the saddle as you cycle through Extremadura, the Land of Conquistador explorers. Stay in historic Parador hotels along the way, riding between medieval towns. From the palace of Parador Oropesa, you'll ride north across central Spain's rich agricultural lands, through the foothills of the mountains of the "La Vera" region and via sections of the ancient' Ruta de la Plata', making your way to the 12th-century walled market town of Plasencia. Then cycle through the wonderful Monfrague National Park, to the architectural splendours of Trujillo Castle, the location used for Game of Thrones Casterly Rock. Finish in the UNESCO town of Caceres, staying in a Renaissance palace in the heart of the old quarter.
