A luxury guesthouse in a league of its own. Located in the heart of the old town, it’s the perfect base for exploring Dijon. Complete with a heated indoor pool, this charming chambres d’hôtes is the perfect start to your trip.

A lovely 4* hotel located in the heart of the old town, it’s the perfect base for exploring Dijon. Relax in the onsite wine bar or in the gothic courtyard with a drink. The friendly staff here are happy to help with any questions you may have about the surrounding sights.
Leaving Dijon, cycle south-west across the l’Ouche river as urban dwellings give way to the rolling vineyards of Cote du Nuits. Soon you’ll reach a series of charming villages; Couches, Fixin and Gevrey Chambertin, where the Grand Crus listed wines of Chambertin, and Chambertin-Clos de Beze are produced. Then, pedalling into Vougeot, arrive at your overnight hotel, Château Gilly. Here you can relax poolside before enjoying dinner in the grandeur of the vaulted dining room.
Approximate Ascent: 238m / Descent: 230m

Located only a few minutes from the centre of Vougeot this former Cisterian Monastery dates back to the 14th century. Boasting extensive ornate gardens and a swimming pool provide the perfect relaxation after your first day in the saddle.
Today, cycle south via Nuits-Saint-George, where the most sought-after Mugnier, Clos de la Marechale Blanc, is produced. From here, pedal onwards via the northern vineyards of Cote de Beaune to the medieval centre of Beaune town, which has assumed its position as possibly one of the best places in France for wine tasting. This evening enjoy dinner at your hotel's award-winning restaurant, Loiseau des Vignes.

Today is a day out of the saddle to experience Beaune’s ‘raison dêtre’ - wine tasting!
The choice of world-class wine tasting caves in Beaune town is exceptional (and extensive). Some notable experiences are; Patriarch Pere et Fils, the oldest cellar in the region with over 5km of underground caves. Marche aux Vins boasts a rare collection from the Hospices du Beaune or Bouchard Aine & Fils, which offers sensory wine tasting experiences.
Beyond wine tasting, it is easy to lose time in one of the many pavement cafes or visit the incredibly well preserved 15th-century Hospice du Beaune.
