We'd love to say we spend our days on location hiking, biking or generally getting our boots dirty, but everyone needs a healthy balance, so we spend plenty of time at the office working hard to create your experiences and adventures too.
Here in the US our Macs Adventure team is made up our Adventure Specialists, who plan and organize our tours, a Marketing Department who look after our website, blog and content and our Office Manager, who, quite frankly, keep us all in order! At the head of our US, UK and German teams is our Chief Adventure Officer, Neil, who oversees everything and drives new ideas forward.
If you fancy joining us, head on over to our Current Opportunities page and see what possible adventure awaits.
I was driven to found Macs Adventure in 2003 by a passion for adventure and active travel. I firmly believe that the very best way to discover a country, its landscape, culture and people is under your own steam.
I grew up in western Colorado, so spending time being active in the outdoors was something I came to love at an early age. Aside from the mind-blowingly epic powder days of the winter, summer in the mountains was my favorite time of year.
I was thrilled to join the Macs team in September of 2017, after a storied history and lifelong love of adventure travel! Originally from New Jersey, I may not fit the average profile of an avid outdoorswoman, but my family instilled in me a love for the outdoors at a young age.
My thirst for adventure began with my first visit to Patagonia in 2009 and has led me to work in travel for over 9 years. I'm always looking for the next excuse to hit the trail and surround myself with mountains.
Hi, it’s Lauren from the US office! I live in Colorado with my husband and our dog. I’ve been in the travel industry for over 8 years and with Macs since late 2018. My role allows me to do what I truly enjoy; making a difference in people’s lives through the world of travel.
I grew up in the dirt of the Marin Headlands, with hundreds of miles of hiking trails right at my backdoor. Simply taking the dogs for a walk was an epic journey meandering among redwood forests and peeking at the San Francisco skyline and bay.
Having grown up in the mountains of Colorado, my favorite way to explore the world has always been by backpacking, biking, hiking, or skiing! My love of these activities has taken me to many beautiful places around the world, including the "W" in Patagonia, the Cordillera Blanca in Peru, and the Camino Frances.
Growing up in Galway on the west coast of Ireland I often looked out at the Atlantic dreaming of what the world had to offer. After completing my marketing degree I headed off my gap year traveling through Thailand, Laos, Australia & New Zealand before moving to Scotland to complete my masters in tourism.
