Areas of expertise: Director of Sales
I grew up in western Colorado, so spending time being active in the outdoors was something I came to love at an early age. Aside from the mind-blowingly epic powder days of the winter, summer in the mountains was my favorite time of year. Camping in Moab, kayaking on the mighty Colorado River and consuming one alpine adventure after another was what my friends and I lived for. Having these types of experiences available just out my back door is something I knew I could never live without.
After moving to Boulder for college, I met my wife and we both agreed that we couldn’t live anywhere else. Although we tried a few years in Northern California, we ultimately knew that we wanted to end up in Colorado and made the move home.
I developed a passion for travel after a trip to Peru in my teens and decided to make it into a career. I’ve now worked in the adventure travel industry for 10 years in various sales and leadership roles. Some of my favorite travels include a road trip through Argentina, kayaking Halong Bay in Vietnam, spending the night in the Sahara, sailing in Turkey, spelunking in Guatemala and living in New Zealand. My favorite aspect of my career is the undeniable positive impact that responsible travel creates. From the individual adventurer to the locals who depend on that tourism to those would-be travelers inspired by others’ experiences – travel is one of the few things in life that can truly make the world better!
