The accommodations on our tours have a variety of ratings, depending on the location and style of your trip. Most fall within our “comfortable” distinction, but some tours are “superior,” “luxury,” or “various.” We carefully select accommodations to ensure that you receive a friendly welcome and your stay is a comfortable, authentic experience.
These accommodations are comfortable and will meet all of your basic needs. They may include mountain huts and limited B&B’s – among others. Accommodations may be rustic and a private bathroom may not always be available. Sometimes located in a remote area, these accommodations may be shared with other travelers. The friendly staff look forward to welcoming you and will ensure that you have an enjoyable stay.
Our comfortable accommodations include charming B&B’s and guest houses as well as small hotels and inns. They’re usually family-run and are always clean, comfortable and well-located.
We use 3-star hotels and luxurious B&B’s to welcome you to our superior accommodations. Many are renowned for their excellent cuisine and all offer a warm reception, traditional hospitality and an authentic experience.
Our luxury accommodations are comprised of carefully chosen, stylish, 4-star hotels – all ideally located to offer the best service for our walkers and cyclists. We specifically choose each 4-star hotel for superior room views, high levels of service and hospitality, and delicious local cuisine. You can check out our “In Style” collection of tours to explore some of our luxury options.
This rating consists of a combination of two or more of our accommodation levels. For instance, while on a trek in Nepal, you’ll stay in traditional mountain lodges in remote areas where you may be using shared facilities and staying in shared rooms. However, while in Kathmandu, you can stay at the 5-star hotels opposite the Royal Palace, which is just five minutes walking from many busy tourist areas.
