Why walk it?

The Yorkshire Dales National Park is a haven for walkers - following trails through lush green fields with purple heather, with ancient stone villages and spectacular waterfalls to explore. Foodies are in luck too - you can stop for a spot of afternoon tea in one of the many cosy cafes and tea rooms along the route. Or why not enjoy a traditional pub lunch to refuel - delicious meat, vegetables and gravy complete with a local favourite - yorkshire puddings! You'll also spot local landmarks along the way, such as the curving amphitheatre of Malham Cove, the 'hidden' village of Thorpe (located between two limestone hills) as well as loop walks with excellent views of the Three High Peaks of Yorkshire (Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough).Walking through a field of buttercups.
