Activity Level & Terrain

This trip is graded as easy-moderate overall as many of the walks are optional or have shorter options. Most of the walks follow gravel and paved tracks, and you occasionally follow minor roads, with one short section on a busier road between Deia and Soller. The longest walk we have suggested is 16.5km, and the shortest is 7km. There are also several options for a few of the days giving you lots of flexibility depending on how much walking you want to do (or not to do!)

Navigation

Some of the walks are waymarked with signs for the GR221 or other local paths, and we supply detailed 1:40,000 trail maps so you should not have any problems finding your way.

Accommodations

7 Nights accommodation is included in your trip. We have carefully selected boutique hotels that ensure you will have the most relaxing of holidays in Mallorca and make your stay even more memorable. When To Go

You can start this walking tour on any day of your choice between March and June, and September to October. We don’t recommend July or August as it tends to be too hot for walking then. The best months for walking tend to be between March and May, and September through to October, when the temperatures are a bit cooler. Mallorca is very popular and the accommodations do fill up quickly so we recommend booking as early as possible.

Please note that this tour is only available for departures from mid October 2016. If you would like to travel in September 2016 please contact us to discuss some other options.

Time of Year

In our opinion, the best months to travel are May and September, when the temperatures are nice and pleasant for walking. Flowers will also be in full bloom in May.

By Air - Palma is the main airport in Mallorca and has direct flights from most major airports in the UK and flying time is just over two hours from London. Airlines include Easyjet, British Airways, Ryanair, Thomson Flights, Flybe & Jet2.
