Day 1: Arrive Amalfi
Welcome to the Amalfi coast, one of Italy’s “must-see” destinations. Enjoy exploring this section of the Sorrento Peninsula, renown for its pristine stretch of dramatic coastline, tropical climate and colorful cliffside villages along the Mediterranean Sea.
Upon arrival, take an enchanting stroll along the waterfront promenade for striking views of this ancient town terraced within lush, green mountains. Enjoy a spritz at bistros near the marina and watch as the turquoise waters gradually fade into cobalt blue against the golden sunset.
Day 2: Walk the Valley of the Ancient Mills
Start this day with a transfer to the romantic hamlet of Ravello and its legendary cliffside gardens. Explore Villa Cimbrone, the crown laurel of Ravello, and its rooftop gallery, enchanting gardens and belvedere “Terrazza dell’Infinito” (Terrace of Infinity).
Later this morning, enjoy an exclusive cooking class and mozzarella tasting. Sample regional wines and handmade limoncello, and learn traditional recipes using the best, seasonal cuisine of the region in preparation of your delicious lunch.
After lunch, follow the scenic path up to the Medieval Tower of Zirro, a beautifully preserved tower proudly perched on a hill overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Continue onward into the valley of the ancient watermills to explore the fascinating remains of paper factories dating back to the 11th century. Return back to Amalfi enjoying sweeping seascapes and a glass of chilled white wine at lively cafes boasting magnificent vistas and local musicians.

Day 3: Walk the Footpath of the Gods
Today’s journey follows the Footpath of the Gods or “Sentiero degli Dei,” justifiably named as being one of the most spectacular trails overlooking the Amalfi Coast. Take a private transfer, zigzagging to the cliffside town of Bomerano, the start of your day’s hike.
Marvel at the land terraces and coastline landscapes of the Divine Coast, with stunning views of the Isle of Capri in the distance, marking lands end and the Amalfi Coast. Continue onward to Nocelle, a tiny mountain village, before descending through lush terraces and olive groves to the colorful resort town of Positano.
Tonight, explore Positano’s labyrinth of alleyways (surrounded by scarlet bougainvillea), elegant boutiques, and pebble stone beaches before retiring to your charming hotel facing the sea.

Day 4: Boat Tour & Discover the Isle of Capri
Side-step the giant public ferries and discover the fabled Isle of Capri in style via a chartered boat tour from Positano. Visit the island’s caves and an afternoon spent at your leisure to wander the streets, beaches and coastal paths of the island. Upon arrival, pass the famous “Piazzetta,” walk towards the Arco Naturale and along coastal paths to the stacks of peculiar rocks jutting out from the sea of Faraglioni.
Take the rest of the afternoon (approx. 4 hours) at your own pace exploring the chic shops or taking a walk to visit the Convent of San Giacomo and the Gardens of Augustus. Take the same boat back to Positano for an evening dining al fresco near the marina.
Day 5: Onward Travel
Depending on your travel arrangements, spend the morning roaming around Positano and its medley of peach, pink and terracotta houses before a private transfer back to Naples.

This trip is based on double occupancy (two people sharing a room). If you’d like separate rooms, a single supplement is required.

This trip is also available to solo walkers (a solo supplement is required).
Breakfast is included each morning and consists of a traditional European style breakfast ranging from coffee, tea, yogurt, granola, seasonal fruit, meat, cheese and baked goods. In most cases, a hot dish (eggs and pancakes) will be served a la carte.
A light lunch is included in this tour and is prepared during the cooking class and mozzarella tasting on the second day of this trip.
Dinners and all other lunches are not included in this trip, so you are free to choose from nearby available options. We recommend finding cafés or restaurants located in the towns or along the walking route, or you can purchase snacks and a picnic lunch to bring along with you. A cooking class and mozzarella tasting is included on the second day of this trip within the hamlet of Ravello. Enjoy preparing and tasting your afternoon lunch consisting of a mozzarella starter, first course, main dish, side dish and dessert. You will be served regional wine, limoncello, coffee and tea.

Isle of Capri Boat Tour
A boat tour from Positano to the Isle of Capri is included on the fourth day of this trip, operated and conducted by the Capri Collective Experience. Enjoy cruising aboard a 12 person (maximum) boat to explore the Isle of Capri and its various caves. Four hours are given ashore so that you can wander the streets, sandy beaches and coastal walks of this iconic island off the coast of Amalfi.
You can easily request to add on an extra night at any location during this itinerary.

Amalfi - Hotel Marina Riviera
Enjoy staying at the Marina Riviera, a stylish hotel situated just a few steps from the beach and historic center of the Amalfi Coast. Known for its outstanding level of service, take comfort in your sea view room or within the rooftop terrace, solarium and swimming pool.
Positano - Hotel Eden Roc
Delight in the warm hospitality, attentive service and delicious cuisine of this charming, boutique hotel, owned and operated by the Casola Family. Enjoy stunning panoramas from the swimming pool, sky bar and “Adamo ed Eva” restaurant on top of the seaside hotel.

As the Amalfi Coast is a very popular destinations, we suggest you book as soon as your plans are finalized to ensure available for specific dates.
Peak season availability: Please note that July, then end of August and September are extremely busy times along the Amalfi Coast and early booking is essential (ideally 6 months in advance) in order to secure the best choice accommodation. If you are interested in traveling during these months, then we may require some flexibility regarding your dates and itinerary. We will do our best to provide a suitable alternative in line with our usual tour.
When to Go?
The springs months of April, May and June offer warm sunshine, fewer crowds and pleasant conditions. The autumn months of September and October are also a favorite time of year, boasting cooler weather and a striking landscape made up of a yellow, gold and red pallet.
July and August are also great months to go but can be very hot for walking. If booking during these months, we therefore advise you to start your walks very early in the morning to avoid the midday heat.
While the route is not waymarked, navigating is easy using the Macs Adventure Navigation App.
Your daily walks will be mapped in the app with GPX tracks, including route notes and turn-by-turn directions. All of these resources are available to download for offline use. Grade & Terrain
This tour is easy to moderate with two days of walking. Daily walks average around 5 miles (3 hours) along undulating terrain with minor to steep ascents and descents.
Most of the route follows dirt paths and stepped trails, while on some days you may be walking along paved roads or sidewalk. Please note that some days include walking many flights of stairs and have segments along cliff edges with sheer drop offs. In this case, be advised that this trip may not be appropriate for unstable walkers or people suffering from vertigo.
You should be in decent physical shape and comfortable walking full days within rolling terrain to fully enjoy the walking on this tour.

How fit do I need to be?
This walking holiday is graded moderate and involves 3 - 5 hours (5 miles) of walking each day so you should enjoy an active lifestyle to get the most from this holiday.
How far in advance do I need to book?
We suggest you book as soon as your plans are finalized as this walk and location is extremely popular. You will find up to date availability on our website and we will always try and accommodate your plans so just ask.
Which is the best airport?
Naples is the closest airport and has both nationally and internationally. Most destinations within Italy have a central train station in which to arrive and depart.
How does the luggage transfers work?Your bags will be transferred from your accommodation as per your itinerary and moved onto your next overnight accommodation. We ask you to limit your luggage to one bag of up to 50 lbs. per person.
What happens if I become ill or can’t walk a stage?
If you are not up for walking the entire route, you can stop at any town along the way and call a taxi, or one of our local representatives, from the contact information found within your pre-departure information pack. If you become ill or want to avoid walking an entire day, that's Ok. Due to being a high tourist destination, local taxis and car services are available to call from your hotel, or you can catch a ride with the morning luggage transfer (when applicable). Specifics and contacts numbers can be found within your pre-departure information pack, or you can ask the host of your overnight hotel for assistance. If you need medical services, please seek immediate assistance at your hotel or nearby hospital.
