Activity Level & Terrain
As the daily distance ranges between 20km-44km, this cycling trip is graded moderate. Most days you will start at sea level and warm up with a steady climb to the villages and towns of each island. There is always more than enough time to take plenty of breaks and pedal at your own pace, the English speaking guide is always on hand if you have any questions. This tour is well-suited to weekend leisure cyclists that enjoy pedaling to discover new places. You also have the option of skipping the cycling and relaxing on board.
Navigation
This cycling route follows a combination of quiet country and coastal roads and some busier routes closer to towns and villages, so please do be mindful of other road users. Each day there are guided rides that leaves you to enjoy the ride and absorb Croatian life. Should you require assistance, local 24/7 telephone support will also be available throughout your trip.
Accommodations
You will spend each night in your very comfortable cabin onboard of Kapetan Jure. Your boat is always docked at night and only sails during the day.
Kapetan Jure
At 27 x 7m, the Kapetan Jure has notched up an impressive 100 Adriatic tours. The spacious salon is decorated with shells, amphorae, and showcases of sailor’s knots. At the bow, a mermaid keeps watching for the safe navigation of the ship. The Kapetan Jure provides 15 cozy guest cabins each with air conditioning, shower, and WC. Due to the shape of the ship's hull the size of the cabins may vary. A spacious living room suite on the quarterdeck and a sundeck with cushioned sleeping mats play a part in contributing to the welcoming atmosphere, inviting you to relax and take in the sun and surrounds.

When To Go
Croatia Bike & Boat sails on set departures from May to October. June to September are the hottest and busiest months and brim with life and festivals. If you prefer traveling in cooler temperatures, we suggest traveling in April, May or October. Due to the nature of this trip, regardless of the time of year, you’ll never have to stray far to find a quiet cove or picnic spot. Sailing departures are limited so we suggest confirming your plans as soon as possible to secure the sailing date of your choice.
The Croatia Bike & Boat tours require a minimum number of participants for the departure to go ahead. Confirmation happens as soon as the minimum number of participants has been reached. For more information, please speak to one of our team.
Getting to the Start
By Air: Split Airport is only 6km from Trogir Harbour. It’s easy to get a taxi on arrival which should cost around €20. Should you prefer we can arrange transfers on arrival. Split Airport is served by most European and low-cost carriers.
Dubrovnik is 3 to 4-hour drive from Trogir. A private transfer can be booked or alternatively it is possible to take the bus. Tickets can be purchased from the Dubrovnik bus station, details can be accessed here. Please be aware that travel times can vary as the road from Dubrovnik to Spilt passes through the Neum Corridor (a 22 km stretch of road Bosnian coastal territory). We strongly advise allowing for extra travel time as there are often lengthy delays when passing through the Neum Corridor.
General Information
Please note that the local port taxes (€40) are to be paid locally in Croatia in Euro, not in Kuna.
