When To Go

Our trip is available from mid-October through to the end of April. November to March offers a greater chance of warmth and longer days. Late November and early December tend to be the quieter months, and are wonderful time to enjoy the spring flowers.

Getting to the Start

By Air: Buenos Aires is easily accessible from many major airports. From Buenos Aires, you can then fly directly to Ushuaia Airport. On arrival into Ushuaia, you will be transferred to your hotel, with an English-speaking guide.

Getting from the End

By Air: From Punta Arenas, the most convenient option is to fly directly to Santiago. Santiago is then well connected with most major airports. You may also wish to consider an indirect flight back to Buenos Aires, if this is more convenient for a return ticket.

Luggage Transfer

Your bags will be transferred from your accommodation as per your itinerary and moved onto your next overnight accommodation, giving you the freedom to walk each day with just a day pack. We ask you to limit your luggage to one bag of up to 20kg per person. Please ensure that you do not bring more than one bag of 20kg as if this occurs, you may be asked to pay an additional fee for an extra bag.

At Macs Adventure, we work in partnership with many luggage transfer providers who set a limit on how many bags/suitcases they will transfer per person, and also the weight of the bag/suitcase.  Your booking includes transfer of 1 bag per person.  It is very important that you read the luggage information specific to your tour before departure. If you do not adhere to these limits, there is a great possibility that you will be charged locally both for extra bags or if they are too heavy. This limitation can be a challenge, especially as airlines generally have limits that are higher. However, our luggage providers have reasons for these limits (usually due to the Health and Safety of their employees), which we must respect.

Travel Insurance

It is a requirement of booking this tour with Macs Adventure that you have suitable travel insurance which covers you for the activity and emergency evacuation and hospital care.
