Which Alta Via 1 Itinerary is For me?
Alta Via 1 Complete - 9 days of hiking. A challenging hike, best for experienced and sure-footed hikers with a head for heights. Overnight communally in mountain huts, hiking with a full pack as bag transfers are not included (optional at extra cost).Â

Which Alta Via 1 Itinerary is For me?
Alta Via 1 Complete (Extended) - The full route over 14 days with 11 days hiking. Expect some shorter trails and days, and a rest day in Cortina. Best for experienced hikers with more time. Hike with a full pack (bag transfers at extra cost). Overnight communally in huts, except in Cortina.

Alta Via 1 Classic - Hike the classic trails of the route over 8 days, taking in the highlights and staying in communal huts. Finish before the path gets wilder and more remote towards Passo Duran. Shorter, but still tough, and hiked with a full pack (limited bag transfers at extra cost).

Alta Via 1 North - Hike the popular but still challenging northern half of the Alta Via 1 in just 6 days, enjoying the camaraderie of comfortable huts. Hiked with a full pack (limited bag transfers at extra cost), this is half-way version of the Alta Via 1 is meant to be combined with the South itinerary over 2 or more seasons.

Alta Via 1 South - The Southern half of the Alta Via 1, wilder and more remote than the busier northern section. With slightly longer days and tougher terrain, its ideal for fit and experienced hikers. Hike 6 days with a full pack (limited bag transfers at extra cost) and stay in communal huts.
