Hiking Tours on the Cotswold Trail
Walk between the most beautiful villages in the Cotswolds and discover why this region is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Cotswold Trail focuses on the pretty villages of the Northern Cotswolds and meanders through the beautiful rolling Cotswold countryside visiting honey coloured villages, historic houses, immaculate gardens and ancient sites.
This loop walk begins in Moreton-in-Marsh, a bustling market town with excellent rail links to London. Heading south through the classic countryside you pass through a series of impossibly beautiful villages before you reach Bourton-on-the-Water, a Cotswold gem. The route then turns west to Winchcombe before looping back to Moreton-in-Marsh via Stanton, Broadway and Chipping Campden. The days are generally slightly shorter than on the Cotswold Way, making this a more easy-going experience of the Cotswolds.Â
Iconic Cotswold cottages and villages, lush green countryside, historic houses, welcoming country pubs and inviting shops make this part of the Cotswolds a walkers paradise and you are sure to fall in love with this magical corner of England.
If you would prefer to combine beautiful Cotswold villages with more rural countryside, then you wish to consider looking at the Cotswold Way National Trail, which run from Chipping Campden in the North all the way south to Bath.
