Feedback Favourites: How do you get teenagers off the internet?...
We've had some great feedback from our self-guided walking and cycling tours this week, from how to get your teenagers to enjoy a vacation, to how to make the most of the Hadrian's Wall Path... Nature / Cities / History / Adventure / Photography Muna the Rock Climber from Wolverhampton walked the Hadrian's Wall Path (beautiful photo here at the highest point). "For me walk along the Hadrian's Wall was a combination of nature (rivers, hills, farms, birds and animals), cities (Newcastle and Carlisle), loads of Roman History, adventure (solo self guided walk) and photography. Every day brought something new to relish."  SONY DSCMuna made the most of one of the top benefits of a self-guided walking holiday; the opportunity to meet new and interesting people, and sometimes even make friends for life! "On the way, I met new people from all over the world, we shared our experience and exchanged tips (and contacts with some)." A top tip on walking the Hadrian's Wall Path: "I also bought the passport and collected all the seven stamps as I walked along the wall. It was a great souvenir along with the certificate and the pin. I will say, go go go for it :)" 5 Stars for Getting the Teenagers off the Internet! Terry from the South West walked the High Dolomites and said "Great way to spend a holiday with teenagers - keep fit, tone muscles, get a great tan, escape from the internet, and sample excellent food and wine". Read our blog post on getting your teenagers active for more tips No Rain? Are you sure you were in Scotland? FEEDBACK Great Glen Well Deserved BeerYes, contrary to popular rumour, Scotland does have a summer! Jane & Kev from Lancashire walked the Great Glen Way: "Great walk, this is our third holiday booked with Mac's, West Highland Way last year and Cateran Trail year before. Walk easy not as tough as the West Highland Way, first time in Scotland with no rain - result." Great photo of a "well deserved beer". We have to admit, there is no more satisfying beer than the beer at the end of a walking or cycling expedition... heaven! Cheers!
