Why Bike & Boat Croatia?

  • A cyclist’s paradise, Croatia’s southern islands are the perfect place to go exploring. Get on your bike and discover Brac’s hidden coves and turquoise waters, Cetina Canyon’s cliffs and waterfalls, as well as the beaches of Bol, which change shape with the tide and offer incredible views across the Adriatic Sea.
  • Step back in time and uncover the ancient ports of Stari Grad and Trogir, filled with ancient Greek, Roman and Venetian influences. Cycle through these UNESCO World Heritage sites and marvel at the old town walls, Roman villas and medieval renaissance buildings.
  • The beauty of a bike and boat holiday also means you have the flexibility to take a day off the bike to relax on deck or stroll through Croatia’s stunning islands on foot without the worry of making it to your next destination.
  • Classic Mediterranean fare with a twist, foodies can expect fresh squid, octopus and shrimp, paired with homemade gnocci, pasta and risotto, cooked in local spices.  For wine lovers you’re in luck too, the Island of Korcula is well known for its vineyards, in particular its light-bodied, white wines. Relaxing with a chilled glass of Croatian 'posip' is the perfect way to end a day of cycling on the island!

Planning and Preparation:

This tour is available from April to October, with April, May and October being the coolest months. June – September is high season, with average temperatures in the mid-to-high twenties. As there are a limited number of sailings, we recommend booking as soon as your travel dates are confirmed in order to secure your cabin. For your arrival, Split airport is 6km from Trogir Harbour, with a taxi form the airport costing around €20 (alternatively we can arrange a transfer). As well as our Southern Island Hopping tour, we also offer a bike and boat trip around Croatia’s Northern Islands, perfect for those who want shorter daily cycling distances and slightly easier terrain.   If you have any questions about either of these tours, get in touch to speak to one of our cycling specialists.
