I have always loved being in the outdoors. Some of my favourite memories from growing up are going on walks with my family every Sunday and exploring central Scotland, as well as going on some great family holidays together.
I think my interest in travel also originates from when I was 14 years old and took part in an exchange programme which took me to Michelstadt in Germany - I had such an amazing time living with a family there. One of my favourite things about travelling is the people you meet and learning their way of life!
I went on to study French and Russian at Glasgow University where I was lucky enough to live abroad as part of my studies. This took me to Annecy in Rhone-Alpes France where I taught English in a high school for a year which I just loved. Skiing every weekend wasn’t too bad either. A year or so later I went to live with a family in Tver, Russia which was an incredible experience. I will never forget being picked up at Domodedovo airport having no idea what was going to happen next, frantically looking up my dictionary thinking “what on earth am I going to talk to this family about?!” But I secretly loved the challenge!
After graduating in 2013 I went back to university to do a Masters Degree. From there, I went on to work in a variety of roles in the hospitality industry; waitressing, doing whisky tours on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, as well as selling beer in the On Trade (what can I say – I like to sell things that I enjoy myself). Now I’m pleased to say that I sell amazing travel experiences to our customers worldwide!
