This cycling tour is a wonderful way to discover Puglia's Salento coast, its ancient towns and cities and the local cuisine, which is unique to this area. The town of Lecce is a highlight with its wealth of Baroque buildings built in the 16th and 18th centuries. Cycle through a patchwork of olive groves and pedal along the coast past beautiful white sand beaches to the very tip of Puglia, where the Adriatic and Ionian Sea meet. Here lies the town of Santa Maria di Leuca, and its eye-catching Art Nouveau villas that line the sea front. The dramatic rock formations on the Adriatic coastline near Otranto are a sight to behold and on your return to Lecce relax on the Cesine Nature Reserves golden beaches and enjoy one last dish of fresh orecchiette pasta!
