I was driven to found Macs Adventure in 2003 by a passion for adventure and active travel. I firmly believe that the very best way to discover a country, its landscape, culture and people is under your own steam.

Growing up, I always had huge ambitions to see as many parts of the world as possible and after completing my Travel & Tourism degree at University helped in fueling this passion! 

I grew up in the beautiful Outer Hebrides and have been chasing adventures around the World since graduating. Active travel is my favourite way to explore new destinations and I'm able to share this passion with our customers and team every day!

Travel has always been my passion, and I love what I do! When I am not working on making fantastic adventures a reality for so many, I am ticking destinations all over the world from my own, ever-growing bucket list.

My passion for travel and adventure came from the wonderful trips and holidays my parents took me on as a child. We visited various different places in Europe, America as well as regular trips around Scotland, to North Uist and Inverness to visit family.

I arrived in Scotland after living in Italy, Portugal, and Galicia, where I come from. I like to learn about other cultures while being part of the community. I was lucky to be able to do so on several occasions while attending language courses in different parts of the world.

I was born and raised in Glasgow but absolutely love to travel and have been lucky enough to travel a fair bit.  I love both city breaks and exploring off the beaten path.  

Having come from a travel industry background I have been involved in many aspects, cabin crew, hotel receptionist, travel agent, but to name a few, I have always been drawn to the wonderful world of travel.

I moved to Scotland 6 years ago from Italy with the desire to have new experiences, learn English and meet new people. I have met so many great people and went onto some fantastic adventures.

Hello! I'm, Rhona, and I've been at Mac's since 2019, originally on the Customer Experience Team but now the Senior Cycling Specialist on the Sales team. I have always had a keen interest in travel, but in recent years, I have really discovered my love for all things bike - thanks to Macs!

I have always loved travelling from a young age. I spent 3 years at university studying International Tourism and had the opportunity to take part in Camp America for 2 years, which allowed me to explore America.

Born and raised in Switzerland I learned how to hike before even learning how to walk. With the experience of having hiked on almost every continent from 300 meters below sea level up to the peak of Kilimanjaro I am sure I will find the right adventure for you!

The travel bug first bit me when I was 18 and I have had a passion for travelling the world ever since. I crave new experiences, new cultures, meeting new people and exploring new landscapes.

Prior to 2022 I'd been travelling the world for 7 years, but have now settled back in Essex in England. I've lived in New Zealand, Australia and Canada, and also travelled around Asia, Africa and Europe. I love meeting people from all over the world, experiencing different cultures and seeing beautiful landscapes.

Spent 25 years working in travel since leaving University. Lived in Switzerland, New Zealand and travelled extensively over the years. Places that hold a special place in my heart are the Outer Hebrides, Cornwall and Slovenia and anywhere with an amazing sunset!

I'm Morag and I work in the Performance Marketing Team on all things digital ads!  I caught the travel bug from my parents and the adventures we went on as a family - then never stopped as an adult! 

Working in Travel Tech is what makes Digital Product Management such a great field to work in! Shaping the digital journeys our customers travel on whilst planning and going on their own adventures is great fun and so rewarding! I love walking in new places around the world, particularly North Wales, with my dogs!

I'm lucky enough to have been in the travel industry 20+ years, working in the most beautiful places in Europe. With permanently itchy feet, I've travelled to Asia, Australia and New Zealand, too. Closer to home, I'll pack up my family for camping or cycling at any opportunity!

Hi! I'm Liam, and I joined Macs Adventure in April 2022 after previously working in the accounts team for a legal firm. I'm from and live in Worcestershire, England. I joined Macs Adventure for the exciting future ahead!

Keeping active and travelling has been something I have loved since I was younger. Mixing it with working in finance makes finance way more exciting! Growing up in Scotland has made it easy to enjoy the outdoors with all the amazing views. 

Discovering a new place for the first time gives me energy like nothing else, learning new cultures, and talking to unfamiliar faces is what makes travel so invigorating. Whether the hiking trail leads to the top of a mountain or a secluded beach, I never want it to end!   

I love spending time outdoors, mostly exploring on my bike or finding wild swimming spots. It's great to work at Macs in a supportive team of like-minded people.

Hi I'm Sophie, I work in the UK Sales team here at Macs Adventure! I have had a passion for travel since my first holiday to Spain when I was little. I have visited many countries all over the world and want to continue ticking off my bucket list each year! 

I'm Eleanor! I have been a part of the Macs team since 2023 after graduating in International Business with Marketing. I love travelling to new places and spending time outdoors. Working with like-minded people and chatting about the amazing trips customers are planning allows me to really love the journey! 

As a child the travel bug got me early! Being able to go and explore different countries and then talk about them all day long is the dream. As the Sales Manager, being a part of peoples journeys to complete a bucket list trip, take in a new culture and meet amazing people along the way is so special!

I grew up on a farm so I have spent most of my life outdoors! I previously taught outdoor education, spent a year travelling around South Africa and New Zealand, and now love to go on Scottish adventures in the mountains with my husband and German Shepherd, Max. 

Whether it's walking, running, golfing, or sightseeing, I love to spend time outside. When the opportunity arose to join as Marketing Co-Ordinator at Macs Adventure, it felt like the perfect alignment of my experience in Marketing and passion for staying active.

I am passionate about travel and the transformative power it has on people's lives, including my own! I grew up doing hiking holidays in the highlands so our product is my bread and butter.
