Grade & Terrain
This walk is graded easy to moderate as the terrain is undulating and includes some strenuous hills. However, if you are an active person and undertake preparation before the trip, this walk should be manageable.
Navigation
The walk is well-marked with signs at cross-roads and orange markings on trees and poles along the trail. In addition to this, you will be provided with a 1:50 000 map and route notes.
Accommodation Information
6 nights’ accommodation is included in your trip. You will be staying at carefully selected B&B’s and guesthouses.You can add extra nights at any point during your stay. We particularly recommend adding extra nights in Stockholm, as the city has much to offer.
Solo Walkers & Single Rooms
Single rooms are available and a supplement is payable. This trip is also available to solo walkers, please note that there are no single rooms in Skuleskogen and therefore a multi-bedded dorm room will be booked or for a supplement a private double room.

We will always try and accommodate you at the locations detailed in the itinerary, but because of limited availability, we may have to accommodate you at an alternative location. Alternative details will be noted on your accommodation sheet.
Meals
6 breakfasts are included as well as 6 packed lunches and 5 dinners. In Härnösand dinner is not included but there are plenty of options in town.

When To Go
This trip is available to start on any day from the 1st of June to the 13th of June, from the 2nd of July to the 19th of July and from the 30th of July to the 31st of August. This is due to accommodation restrictions in Lövvik
Time of Year
The season is short in this part of Sweden due to weather restrictions. However, the walk will be ideal to do anytime between June and August.
Extra Nights
As this is a 6 night stay, we highly recommend adding a couple of nights in Stockholm to discover this stylish city. We can also arrange an extra night in Härnösand at the end of your trip, should you prefer an extra rest day before continuing your journey.
Getting to the Start
By Air: The closest international airport is Stockholm Arlanda. Many major airlines such as British Airways, Delta, EasyJet. Lufthansa, SAS and United Airlines fly here.
By Rail: From Arlanda Airport (or the city of Stockholm) there are 3 daily direct departures to Härnösand (4.5 hours) and many more with a change in Sundsvall. SJ can help you with travel information and tickets.
By Road: Take the E4 from Stockholm (4 hours)
Parking: Let us know if you are arriving by car and we can help you arrange to park.
Getting from the End
On your day of departure, your host will drive you to Docksta to coincide with a bus departure to Härnösand (1 hour 20 mins), where you can catch the train to Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
Baggage Transfer
Daily door to door baggage transfer is included in the price of your trip (up to 20 kg).
General Information
The distances and ascent/descents are approximations of the recommended routes. Please be prepared by packing all necessary items, for example, proper rain gear (jacket and pants), sun hat, sunscreen. Your information pack has a detailed equipment list which includes standard walking gear such as good walking boots or shoes, warm and waterproof clothes for the cooler months and lightweight clothing for summer, and a day pack.
Travel Insurance
It is a requirement of booking this tour with Macs Adventure that you have suitable travel insurance which covers you for the activity and emergency evacuation and hospital care.
