Want to get the walking boots on but in need of a bit of travel inspiration? Perhaps these recent reviews from Macs Adventure’s travellers will help. From sun and snow in Spain, to pampered pilgrims on the Camino, here are some extracts from our favourite Macs Adventure reviews of the last seven days: Sun and snow in the Picos de Europa In the words (and photographs) of our "Avid Adventurer" RB from Greater Manchester: “Being on my own I decided to take a 3 week holiday in northern Spain and sandwich the 8 day Picos de Europa Macs Adventure holidayin between visits to other places. This worked out extremely well. The maps and detailed information pack about the walks had whetted my appetite and I arrived at Arenas de Cabrales on a warm sunny day in late April.

The Rivera hotel was cos
y and friendly and provided excellent breakfasts. The scenery was breathtaking and the walks were very well designed and varied, with clear guidance. I appreciated the transfer of my things to the Sotres Hotel and carried on walking. The evening meals there were delicious traditional Asturian menus and I was made to feel very much at home. Towards the end of the week snow arrived and the views were transformed.

With Sotres being quite high up in the mountains it was not unusual to experience snow at that time of year. Maria who organises the holidays "on site" made sure I could get out by lending me some walking sticks and snow shoes. The atmosphere was exhilarating and the mountain track wide enough to feel safe.
On the last day I walked the famous Cares gorge (no snow down there) with more stupendous views. Although the walks were graded moderate they were quite testing, leaving you with a sense of satisfaction at the end of each day. Looking back it was the most memorable part of my holiday – a fantastic week.”

Feel like a pampered pilgrim Dianne from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma USA walked the Camino de Santiago. We loved Dianne's summing up: "Feel like a pampered pilgrim". "Feel like a pampered pilgrim: The accommodations were easy to find after a long day of walking. The beds and showers were something to look forward to the end of the day. The hotel contacts were very friendly and kind. The places very clean and "close to action" in town. Well worth knowing there will be a spot at the end of the day and no need to hurry. Could walk leisurely and enjoy the sites along the way.” Remember to leave a review at the end of your trip to be in with a chance of winning the monthly draw of outdoors store vouchers. Congratulations to April’s winner Colin who walked the Great Glen Way with his Granddaughter.
