Why walk it?

First circumnavigated by Horace Benedict de Saussure in 1767, the Tour de Mont Blanc attracts adventurers from around the world. Jagged snowy peaks, rolling pastoral valleys and stunning panoramas greet you along the route. Though it includes some demanding stretches, the sense of achievement of completing this legendary long-distance trek is well worth the effort. Comfortable accommodations welcome you each night, and each day brings a manageable walk with more spectacular scenery. Several of the days have optional buses or cable cars so you can shorten the walk length according to your fitness level. 12
